PSOUG, The Puget Sound Oracle Users Group, is an independent non-profit Washington Corporation, established by its members to facilitate the exchange of technical information related to the Oracle corporation and its products, third-party vendors that provide products and services related to Oracle's products, and organizations: private, public, and government that use them.

Our members include developers, DBAs, system administrators, project managers, IT managers, analysts, report writers, and software engineers all of whom share a passion of knowledge and understand that through peer-to-peer networking and information exchange everyone benefits.

We invite you to come to our next meeting and join us.

Jack Cline

Jack, in addition to his duties as Chairman of PSOUG is a guest lecturer in the Oracle Application Development certificate program at the University of Washington and a consultant on PL/SQL development tools and techniques.

Jack, when not writing PL/SQL prefers to spend his time diving and sailing. He has worked extensively in the Americas and Asia and can always be counted on to engage anyone interested in Seattle's finest cuisine.
 



Daniel Morgan

Dan, an Oracle Ace Director, servers as the Education Chairman of PSOUG, develops curricula and is the primary instructor of the Oracle programs at the University of Washington. He is a member of the UKOUG, the International Oracle zSeries SIG, the British American Chamber of Commerce, the former Chair of the Washington Software Alliance's Database Special Interest Group, and a member of the OAUG Customer Support Council.
 
Mr. Morgan is a regular contributor at our monthly PSOUG meetings and, with Caleb Small of Camosun College, has developed PSOUG's RAC, Grid, Audit Vault, Streams, AQ, CDC, RMAN, ASM, and Data Guard classes and numerous SQL and PL/SQL workshops.

In the last 12 months he has spoken at Open World ('05 and '07), Collaborate '08, for the Northern California OUG, Rocky Mountain OUG, Utah OUG, Victoria OUG, and is scheduled to present at ODTUG Kaleidocope (June). Most recently has been asked to participate in the EMEA President's meeting in Munich Germany in May.

 
John Bossert

John is one of our regions best known DBAs, he has recently begun working with Oracle's Application Server technology, and has a keen interest in learning more about FMW and Identity Management.

We are very grateful John has stepped in to help us get the SIG going and hope everyone will join us in welcoming John onto PSOUG's board.

Governance & Compliance
Victoria Whitlock

has more than 23 years experience in the Information Technology industry. She specializes in Database Architecture, Administration, Data Warehousing, Training, and Mentoring. Formerly one of Oracle Corporation's top Education trainers, Victoria excels in teaching and working with diverse groups to master complex procedure-based processes by applying leading edge technologies. Victoria managed a variety of successful international data warehousing projects and speaks regularly at industry forums such as Oracle OpenWorld: Most recently in 2007. She is currently Enpria's Compliance Practice Manager, responsible for both the conceptual integrity of Enpria's IP and quality of deliverables.

Victoria has built a strong sub-specialty in the world of government mandated compliance. Her understanding of the technical systems which must ultimately be crafted, either by design or modification, to deliver compliant performance and her understanding of automated business processes grant her a very rare perspective.

Victoria is a frequent contributor to both PCAOB and SEC data calls. Her work is posted on their websites and is recognized for its thoughtful, thorough, and unbiased point of view.

Victoria also is currently serving on the AEA National Governance committee.

Marie Deschene

Marie is a former Oracle employee who taught E-Business Suite for Oracle for seven years and has also worked for Microsoft on a variety of projects. Marie has helped us develop our E-Business Suite curriculum and has co-taught our DBA Boot Camp.
